It's a change I know

Tue Sep 8, 2009, 9:56 AM
So I came to the realization that I do not need nor do I want to go and get another BA Degree.. Especially, how foolish was I!?, in the bio chemistry/ microbiology field!!! So Instead I'm dropping out of school for the first and last time ever and saving up money to go to move to hawaii for awhile. If not Hawaii then Ireland. I'm very excited about this and have yet to tell my parents.. eek!

It's just one of those things...

I need to get out of here, so many wrong things happening...

you're welcome!! It's absolutely fabulous! The colors are amazing! I really would love to know what kind of soapstone was used... and how did you buff it without it falling apart? I am currently using a dremel to cut glass and shape other hard materials. But I really don't know how to get the soapstone finish you have... any help would be greatly appreciated!

(i heard something about linseed oil and putting it in the oven??)

I dont remember what piece you faved, but you finish by had sanding up to 600 grit, then rub linseed oil into it twice, ir you can use a stone sealer that is now available on market that works well but is $100 per bottle. Linseed cheaper!

It's really sad that people can't understand art. They are scared about the power of it....and maybe they should be.
